We need your help for temporary evacuation
of children in Fukushima!
“Please help us evacuate at least children until
decontamination yields visible results.”
In response to the urgent plea, we launched the Poka-
Poka Project in January 2012. Thanks to generous donations
from across Japan and overseas, we were able to help
children, pregnant women, and their family members - more
than 1,600 people in total between January and March -
stay in Tsuchiyu Hot Springs to spend time away from their
homes in severely contaminated Watar District in Fukushima
City.
The second term of the Poka-Poka Project will begin in
early May 2012 and aim to cover not only Fukushima City
but also Date City. The Project will also offer seminars on
radiological protection, political developments regarding
compensation of victims of the Fukushima disaster, and
long-term evacuation programs. For details, visit “the Right
