FoE Japan has been working on the improvement of 'the Recommendation of Common Approaches on Environment and Officially Supported Export Credits (Common Approaches)', which are the basis of JBIC and NEXI environmental and social guidelines. Common Approaches are the gentleman's agreement on environmental standards among export credit agencies such as JBIC and NEXI in Japan and US EXIM in the US. For this campaign, FoE Japan attended the consultation meeting between ECG members and civil society organizations in Paris and had meetings with related Japanese officials.
